I recently had the privileged of photographing Ruth and her beautiful daughters. All I can say is I hope I age that gracefully! Ruth is 92 years old and as beautiful and classy as ever! My wonderful Aunt Deanna is one of her daughters and I remember playing at Ruth's house with my cousins when I was a child. I also remember crying when someone informed me that she was not my grandma as well :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE photographing newborns!!! Meet sweet Baby B. I photographed her a couple of months ago and couldn't help but share a few of her images!

Newborns are best photographed before they are 10 days old but little "B" was an exception to the rule. She was just a bit older but was still so good and sleepy. I just loved her!

Mommies to be, don't forget to schedule your session in advance so that we can make sure to get your little bundle of joy in for their session. They will only be this tiny once and as a mother of 3 young children I can verify that they grow and change so fast...I am so grateful for the pictures I have of my babies...it helps on the days that my little ones give me a run for my money...I look back at their newborn portraits and remind myself just how precious they are.

Matt and Lara...I Do!

It has been said that it is all in the details. That is exactly the case when it came to Matt and Lara's August wedding. Lara thought of EVERY detail. She wanted to stick with a vintage theme and I think that she captured it perfectly from the favors (pictured above) to her dress (details pictured below) and her bouquet, which was the most unique bouquet I have ever seen!

One detail that anyone in attendance was sure to notice was the love between these two people.

My Stella Polly Turned 2!!!

I had such a fun time taking my baby's 2 year photos! Yes, my baby is 2!!! Can I still call her a baby? She was a little stinker the entire session and kept me running after her as she stripped off her clothes and decided she didn't like the props I had selected for her session. Even with that I was able to get some great shots that really capture her sweet personality.

Don't forget that no matter what age you kiddos are they will only be at this stage once in their lives don't let it pass you by without capturing those moments to remember when they are gone.

I LOVE 1st birthday sessions! Kaitlin's was so much fun! It is always great when Sara brings her kiddos for pictures because it gives me a chance to catch up with a childhood friend. It has been so fun to get to watch her girls grow! Kaitin was about done with me taking her pictures but then we pulled out the cupcake for her to smash! She lit up! You can see the light in her big beautiful brown eyes in every shot and I love it!!! Here are just a few of my favorites...I hope you enjoy!

Last but not least...this shot was my most favorite for the entire session...It was like she was watching over her shoulder for someone to come along and spoil her fun and take the cupcake :) Of course we wouldn't do that!

I love these two little ones! It had been a while since I have had Hudson in the studio and at first he was a little cautious...but that is one of the things I love about him. He sits back and takes it all in and because of that I was able to get some of the sweetest, most honest expressions on his face. Little Miss Hattie also inherited the photogenic genes! We had to work hard to get a few smiles but when she smiles her entire face lights up! Smiles are great, but in all honesty I love the serious, contemplative looks on the faces of children in photographs...I am not one that thinks every photo has to have a smile...I like photos to be honest and these two kiddos blow me away every time I photograph them.

I can't believe how quickly the first year of a child's life flies by! The case was no different for little Miss Maecie! I just love this little girl! She is such a tiny sweetheart and she is adored by EVERYONE who knows her (especially her mommy)! I had such a fun session with her. I LOVE birthday and "smash the cake" sessions and I appreciate that Lyndsi, Maecie's momma, is always so prepared for their sessions. She brings the most adorable outfits and she even baked the cake. Maecie is so full of expression and even though she wasn't feeling her best (she had an ear infection) she still brought out the animation! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MAECIE!

I am finally getting caught up on my blogging and I am excited to share with you Natalie and Skyler's wedding day way back on September 24th! Natalie is my husbands little sister and it was such a joy to watch her fall in love with a great guy like Skyler!

Their reception was at Roseriver Reception Center just outside of Blackfoot. I love when I get to photograph there...LOOK AT THAT VIEW!!!

Natalie's hair was actually about chin length when she and Skyler became engaged and with the help of the amazingly talented Erica Stallings with The Twisted Crown...Natalie had the most gorgeous extensions and amazing make-up!

I can not lie...I thought I was done having babies until I met this tiny bundle :) Meet Baby Drayson, five days old. He was such a sweetheart! He was awake most of the session and didn't make a SINGLE PEEP! He fell asleep at the very end and I was able to get some great "sleepy baby" shots! I can't forget to mention his big brother, Bridger. He is such a great big brother and loves his baby but doesn't like to be very close to him. Notice in the picture of the two of them that Bridger is as far away from Drayson as he can get. Thanks to his momma and grandma though we tricked him into getting just close enough :) I had a really hard time narrowing down the photos with the post so I hope you enjoy the whole lot of them!

I am offering unmounted prints in some of the smaller sizes. Unmounted prints will be printed on traditional photo paper with a luster coating. The Leaves Caught My Eye...

Two weeks ago we had the most beautiful Autumn weather. I was lucky enough to shoot a wedding at the Idaho Falls temple grounds that week. I knew that the fall leaves wouldn't last too much longer and the temple grounds were surrounded by wonderful colors so I took advantage and arrived there 1 hour before I was supposed to to work on a little project. I have lots of fun ideas that I want to do with some of these photos but I decided to share them first so that everyone could get a taste of the fabulous fall that we had here (even if it wasn't very long). I had entirely too much fun with this session! Meet my sister in law Ashley, my brother in law Tony, and their super-cute son, Hudson! Ashley totally GLOWS! I think she is the most RADIANT expectant mother I have seen! I can't wait to meet their BABY GIRL! I know she is gonna be a knock out...just look at Hudson!

I am so glad that it worked out for them to bring Mr. Hudson along! He is as cute as they come! I was able to get some great shots of them as a family and of Hudson and his daddy and some with his mommy too! Hudson is going to be a GREAT BIG BROTHER! My little family spent Memorial Weekend with this adorable family and Hudson was so sweet to baby Stella...bring her a toy every time she cried!

What can I say...Robbie and Krystal are a beautiful couple! They just radiate romance! I am super late in getting this posted but I HAVE to share them! I LOVE how they all turned out! It was a CRAZY WINDY day and you can't even tell! It was so much fun to catch up with them! Krystal and I graduated together and Robbie has been my husbands great friend and roommate for the years before we got married!

I can honestly say that these two are perfect for each other and I can't wait to photograph their beautiful wedding (and Krystal's bridals this week)!!!

I absolutely LOVE weddings! I love everything about them! I LOVE that my career allows me to be a part of so many people's love stories! I just wanted to share the photos that I entered into the Eastern Idaho State Fair this year. It is always so fun to walk into the photography building and see my work hanging up next to so many other talented photographers work. I am always nervous but it is that excited nervous like the first day of school or the night before Christmas. Anyway, this year I was pleased to walk away with a 1st and 2nd place ribbon both in the bridal portrait category. Here is all of the photos that I entered this year.

I couldn't decide which finish I liked best the one above is vintage b&w the one below is vintage sun fade and the third is the color pop original. I would love to hear what any of you think.

I had such a fun session tonight with my niece Savanna. Her birthday is coming up so it was perfect timeing for photos! She is so stinking cute and we had so much fun! She is good to put up with Aunt Leah! Thanks Erica and Savanna for the fun evening!

A couple of weeks ago I had the chance to have sweet baby Cooper in my studio and I loved every minute! His mommy, Michelle, and his aunties, Kim and Michelle all came which made my day!!! Our families go way way back! I also was able to photograph Coop's big sister Brook for the second time and she is a super model in the making! She is such a great big sister, as you can see in the photo above! Thanks again for bringing them in Michelle! And thanks to Kim for giving Michelle a gift certificate for a session with me for Mother's Day! Anyone who is interested keep that in mind, I can make them for any occasion and I can make them for any amount that you want to contribute to the session!

Lincoln is such a little sweetie! My opinion might be bias since he is my little nephew! He loves the camera and the camera loves him. This time, however, he decided he did not want to look at Auntie Leah at all. But his mother, being the smart mom that she is, knew that a root beer would fix the problem. She was right and it did! I love how these photos turned out! Thanks Erica for bringing him to me!

What a cold day this was! But what a great couple to put up with the cold. I really liked the bright colored flowers that they chose. They really stood out in the snow...and there was a lot of snow!

I was so excited to take Baby Cylie's pictures again! I was so lucky to get to take her newborn photos and it was so fun to get to see that little cutie pie again for her 4 month pictures! Her mom, Kim, is a great friend of mine so it is always fun to get to catch up with her when I take their pictures. Cylie is such a fun baby girl and she was happy the entire time thanks to her big sister Lacie for helping her smile. I loved the color and b&w so I posted some of both. Enjoy!
